Dear Prospective Surrogate / Egg Donor,

Hello, and welcome! Or perhaps we should say congratulations! You are taking the first steps in a journey that may be among the most profound experiences in your lifetime. Being an egg donor or a surrogate mother is the greatest gift you can give to a childless couple, and one for which you will be remembered as a valuable member of that family for generations to come.

Circle Surrogacy was founded in 1995 by John Weltman, father of two children by surrogacy, and has on its staff several people who have children by surrogates or have been surrogate mothers themselves. At Circle Surrogacy, every step of your surrogacy journey, from your first questions through the fertility process, pregnancy, delivery and two months post-delivery, will be carefully guided and coordinated by experienced and caring people who want you to remember this as one of the best times of your life.

For now, feel free to take a look around the site, including the new articles and personal stories about the surrogacy expeience. Allow us also to recommend in particular the pages about the screening and matching process, our detailed answers to frequently (and not-so-frequently) asked questions you or your partner may have, the surrogates update page (with recent births, pregnancies and cycles), and the interview with John below. When you are ready, we hope that like many of us before, you will decide to take the next step and fill out the surrogate /donor inquiry form (also note that we now have a great new interactive onlin application process for egg donors!).

Cheers,

Rachel, Bridget, Barbara, Nancy, Jennifer, Katherine and Minette.

A poem written by a surrogate mother to her intended parents

"Was not so long ago, we were existing in our lives unconnected,

Until last fall, when an event in my life changed and we met so unexpected.

You needed a miracle from God and I’m so honored, he chose me,

To carry your child, your love, your life’s dreams you see..."

"At Circle Surrogacy we make sure surrogate mothers have a positive experience, and that they are cherished and respected for their role"

An interview with John Weltman, Circle Surrogacy's president

John had his own two children through traditional surrogacy, in a process that started 16 years ago (June of 1991). His family still maintains a wonderful relationship with the surrogate mother of both of his kids, and John explained that this experience has greatly affected his outlook and attitude towards surrogacy. One of Circle Surrogacy's core beliefs, said John, is that "you cannot have a surrogacy agency without admiring the phenomenal women who are doing this". When talking to prospective parents, John wants to make sure they do not think of this as "somebody just delivering a baby to my door step... it is important that the surrogates are cherished and respected for their role and feel good about what they are doing."
